Do I need to be a DCU staff member, student or alumnus to attend Anam?

No, the Anam festival is open to all.

Are there any age restrictions for Anam events?

Guests must be over 18 for Other Voices presents Anam. No other events are age-restricted.

Do I need tickets for free events in the Anam programme?

Yes. Tickets are available online at Ticketsolve. Tickets are also available from the Students’ Union office in the U on the DCU Glasnevin Campus (9.15-17.00 Monday-Thursday, 9.15-16.00 Friday), and from the Student’s Union on DCU St Patrick’s Campus.

Can I buy multiple tickets for an event?

Due to capacity limits, we can only issue two tickets per person for Other Voices presents Anam and Heart of the Rowl. For free events, we will issue a maximum of four tickets per person.

How much do the events cost?

Most Anam events are free of charge. The only charged events are Other Voices presents Anam (€15/ €12 Students), The Heart of the Rowl (€15/ €12 Students), Almost, Maine (€5), and Acabella and Friends (€10).

Can I reserve seating?

No, all events are either free-seating or standing.

Do I need to print my ticket and bring it with me?

Both printed copies and electronic tickets on a mobile phone are accepted.

Can I collect my tickets at the venue?

No, we are unable to offer this service.

What time should I arrive?

Doors will open 30 minutes before the start time of each evening event.

The event is fully booked – can I still get a ticket somehow?

Unfortunately not. We cannot exceed the maximum capacity of any venue, due to Health and Safety regulations.

Can I bring a bag into the event?

Only small personal bags, please.

Will there be a cloakroom?

The Venue for Other Voices Presents Anam is the only location with a cloakroom.

Can I bring food and drink with me?

Sorry. No.

Will there be refreshments available for purchase at the venue?

People attending day-time events will be able to access the cafés and restaurants on each campus.

Can I take photographs during the event?

Yes, but please refrain from using flash photography, and please remain seated to ensure that other guests can fully enjoy the event.

How do I get to the venue?

All events are on DCU campuses. Please click here to access campus maps, opening the relevant tab for each campus.

Where can I park when attending Anam events?

Parking fees apply at all times on DCU Glasnevin and DCU St Patrick’s campuses. Please observe all signage and park in designated spaces only. On DCU Glasnevin Campus, please use the multi-storey car park (Car Park 1) next to the Collins Avenue entrance. On DCU St Patrick’s Campus, please use Car Park 6 and Pay by Text. There is limited parking available at DCU All Hallows.

I have an access requirement, who should I contact about attending the event?

Please send all requests to [email protected] or call (01) 7005666, no later than 5pm, Monday, 1 April.

Can I leave the event and come back in?

We kindly ask you stay in your place throughout Anam’s seated events. If you do need to leave the venue, please be mindful of the performers and other audience members.

Is there a Lost Property service for Anam events?

No. We are sorry, but DCU is not responsible for valuables left on campus.
